The aerodynamic or hydrodynamic design and control philosophy for a wind or hydro power plant has a decisive impact on the level of loading for the specific plant components.
Determining the correct loads is vital for the service life of the plant components. We create simulation models based on the rules applicable to the plant for load calculation according to specified guidelines, such as the IEC.
For this we use the software Bladed 4.4 from GL Garrad Hassan. We provide you with the calculation of individual load cases as a basis for comparison as well as the complete, certifiable load calculation documentation. When requested, we also apply the calculated loads to the strength and stability computation using the FEM analysis tool Ansys. We round out the process by then offering you component optimization in several loops, feeding the results from the FEM analyses back in to each loop.
